Why We Built This
Discovery is moving from a list of blue links into a single generated answer — and most brands are flying blind into that shift. We built IndexHot to make visibility in AI search something anyone can check and understand.
- AI search is becoming the primary discovery layer. Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini what to buy instead of scrolling search results, so being absent from the answer means being absent from the decision.
- Most brands have no idea if they’re visible. Teams know their Google rankings but cannot answer basic questions: Are we mentioned? Are we cited? Are competitors recommended instead?
- Existing tools are expensive and opaque. They charge enterprise prices for a single black-box score with no visible prompts, answers or math, making the numbers impossible to reproduce or act on.
Our Approach
We start from a simple principle: if a metric can’t be reproduced, it isn’t a measurement. Everything we build follows from that.
- A free checker as the entry point. Enter your domain and see whether the major AI engines mention, rank and cite your brand — no credit card required.
- An open measurement standard. The IndexHot GEO Measurement Standard fixes the question library, metric definitions and scoring so results are transparent and auditable.
- Public datasets. We release the underlying citation, mention and schema data for researchers and the GEO community to use, cite and reproduce.
- No black-box scores. Every number traces back to a logged prompt, a raw answer and a published formula — nothing hidden behind a proprietary algorithm.
